Czech stars in the making enjoy unique setting for final stage of nationwide Mini Volleyball competition

Lipnice nad Sazavou, Czech Republic, May 30, 2016. The HAVLBALL 2 and 6 Mini Volleyball tournaments organised under the patronage of the Chairman of the Chamber of Deputies of the Czech Republic, Mr Jan Hamacek, and MP Mrs Jana Fischerova, came to an end on Saturday, May 28, when the final matches and an exhibition joined by the best teams took place in Lipnice nad Sazavou.
The first of two tournaments of such kind, 6 HAVLBALL was organised in the recreational area of the Parliament of the Czech Republic where the young boys and girls competing enjoyed not only the beautiful surroundings but also the outstanding facilities provided for the real climax of an event which runs throughout the whole year. The participating teams were divided into two sub-groups before the finals were contested to determine the eventual winners of the competition, i.e. the team of TJ Jiskra from the city of Havlickuv Brod.
The other Mini Volleyball competition, 2 HAVLBALL, was played in a local football stadium where as many as 14 courts were set up. By the end of the day, 372 matches were played with as many as 163 young children competing, all of them obviously motivated to display their finest performance.
This was the moment that capped a long season including nine tournaments, 276 players and as many as 2,262 matches contested throughout the year.
The eventual winners were:
Yellow Mini Volleyball – Rozalie Malkova (TJ Sokol Bezdekov)
Orange Mini Volleyball – Zuzana Kopicova and Linda Sykorova (TJ Jiskra Humpolec)
Blue Mini Volleyball – Denisa Svecova and Amalie Malkova (TJ Sokol Bezdekov)
The 2 HAVLBALL competition came to a close with an exhibition starring the best pairs who performed on a court set up especially for the occasion right at the very heart of the local castle in Lipnice. MP Jana Fischerova, the Mayor of Lipnice, Mr Leos Blaha, former national team player Petr Platenik and many other guests attended the exhibition together with the proud parents and friends of the children competing, thereby accounting for a friendly and enjoyable atmosphere where friendship and fair play were the name of the game.
The exhibition was cut short as rain started pouring down and after that a special event was organised at Thurnovsky Palace to host the visitors of the tournament as well as those who had joined the 2015-2016 edition of the two tournaments – 2 and 6 HAVLBALL.
Every participant received a commemorative medal, a t-shirt with the logo of the final tournament and a number of gifts provided by the sponsors of the event, the companies BONAVITA spol.s.r.o. and Moravia Lacto a.s.
