News from the National Federations

Luxembourg, September 8, 2016. The FIVB/CEV Development Centre Luxembourg has designed a busy and ambitious programme for this coming fall with as many as three Courses / Technical Seminars due to take place in late October / early November. The organisers invite Volleyball coaches and anyone who is willing to enhance his knowledge of the sport to register and participate in the courses that will be hosted in Luxembourg City.

The programme will start with a Technical Setting Seminar scheduled for October 20-24 focussing on techniques, basic drills, strategy and tactics, as well as on the role of the setter within a Volleyball team. The course will be tutored by Mr Ben Mustapha, a former player of the Tunisian national team who has been coaching in the national leagues of Tunisia, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia since 2005 and is currently working as the Technical Director of the Club Sporif Saxien (CSS) in Tunisia. Lectures will be given in French. Click here for further info and to download the registration form.

Next will be another Technical Seminar, this time focussing on the Middle Blocker position, which is due to take place from October 27 to 31. The course will be led by Eric Ngapeth, a French renowned coach and father to France’s Volleyball superstar, Earvin. Once again, lectures will be given in French focussing on basic techniques, special exercises specifically designed for middle blockers, attack strategy, tactics and the role of middle blockers within the team. The course is designed to provide the attendees with a basic understanding of the game focussing on Volleyball for beginners, basic technical skills, tactics and basic knowledge with regards to physical conditioning. Lessons will be in French as well. Click here for further info and to download the registration form.
