The players of the best teams received diplomas, special badges and trophies in reward of their achievements.
The Secretary General of the Volleyball Federation of Armenia, Mr Karen Asmaryan, said: “The 2016 edition of the National Cup coincided with the 25th anniversary of our country’s independence from the former Soviet Union. This year has been extremely important for our Volleyball family. Armenian Beach Volleyball players made their first ever appearance at the U22 European Championship held earlier this summer in Thessaloniki, Greece. Our Federation organised a number of tournaments for various age groups, national championships for men and women in Volleyball and Beach Volleyball, as well as the inaugural edition of the Yerevan Open Beach Volleyball tournament. We will continue to work hard for the further development of Volleyball, Beach Volleyball and Snow Volleyball in Armenia. The next major highlight will be the 2017 edition of the Armenian Snow Volleyball Championship to be held in January in Yerevan.”
