16/06/2017 12:27 Volleyball at School project continues in Azerbaijan with Summer Festival in Shaki News from the National Federations Baku/Shaki, Azerbaijan, June 16, 2017. The “Volleyball at School” project is running at full speed in Azerbaijan, and this country will soon experience a real Volleyball fever when hosting the 2017 edition of the women’s EuroVolley together with their friends and neighbours from Georgia. The city of Shaki in northern Azerbaijan played host on Wednesday, June 14 to a Volleyball Festival involving dozens of young kids with the Azerbaijan Volleyball Federation supporting the organisation and delivery of the event by providing balls and nets. The action will continue with a series of open-air Volleyball matches featuring pupils from the local schools, with Volleyball officials from Baku set to travel to Shaki to oversee the competition. The Azerbaijan Volleyball Federation are currently working hard to nurture the next generation of Volleyball players and are doing so with the help of primary schools from across the Caucasus country and their respective physical education teachers.
